Innovative Sprint for Black Magic
I co-led a high-stakes Design Sprint inspired by Jake Knapp’s bestselling methodology to generate and test breakthrough ideas for Black Magic, one of ITW Global Brands’ flagship lines. Partnering with a colleague from the R&D team, we assembled and guided a cross-functional team of five through an intensive, fast-paced five-day process.
Together, we mapped consumer pain points, brainstormed bold ideas, built a testable prototype, and gathered real-world feedback, all within one week. This inaugural sprint not only delivered a consumer-validated concept ready for development, but also uncovered over $20 million in potential revenue opportunities and laid the groundwork for multiple innovation streams.
It was a bold experiment—and a spectacular success.
