RainX Art Car Parade Entry
A tribute to collaboration, creativity, and product storytelling.
To engage employees, give back to the community, and elevate brand visibility, I led a high-impact initiative to design and build an official ITW Global Brands entry for the 31st Annual Houston Art Car Parade (the world’s largest event of its kind).
Working with a $35K budget, I spearheaded every phase of the project—from internal concept competition to sourcing a used Mini Cooper and managing the full art build on-site. The final design integrated brand storytelling at every turn:
RainX inspired the yellow rooftop umbrella, which sprayed real water through a hidden tank system—showcasing the product's water-repellent power.
Black Magic detailing products were featured in sleek custom fenders and trim and custom, branded, red wheels.
Gumout performance additives came to life via a bubbling tailpipe system and a mock intake manifold hood sculpture.
The build also included custom paint, product-embedded surfaces, a bubble machine, and LED-lit visual features—all coordinated by cross-functional teams I organized and led. I also oversaw event marketing and represented the team at the parade, where we proudly took home 1st Place for Best Commercial Entry.
This project wasn't just about a car—it was about culture, creativity, and proving how big ideas can bring a company together.
